Which boiler is right for me?
What type of premises is to be heated?
Commercial or Industrial
What is the square area to be heated?
To work out the square area of your home, measure the exterior of the house to calculate the gross living area. For example a two storey house that measures 30 feet by 50 feet would have 1500 feet on each floor so the house contains 3000 square feet.
What type of fuel do I intend to use primarily?
This is a very important question as it will dictate the type of the boiler, for example the range that will burn most things are the WB and WBI series but the one that will burn automatically the PBI series, the fuel must be a certain size - up to 25mm square this includes pellets and slack
For example logs, waste wood, coal, pellets, something else....
What facilities have I got for storage of fuel?
Something that is sometimes forgotten, but a storage facility will be necessary. Depending on the type of fuel you intend to use it may need to be a small or larger area.
Try to store the fuel in the same room as the small amount of heat produced by the boiler can help to further dry damp fuel.
How many radiators do I have?
This is largely unimportant when determining the size of boiler but may be worth keeping in mind when speaking to our consultants.
Will I be available to load the boiler every 3-18 hours?
The WB and WBI boilers require manual loading from 3 to 18 hours or so in order function continuously. The WBI range has a computer controlled flame which will keep itself alight even when the heat is not required.
When choosing the WB and WBI range boilers bear in mind the internal size of the unit. For example if you would like to reduce your refill times try to go for the bigger unit, it will still use the heat that you need but because of its bigger capacity more fuel can be loaded thus reducing the reloading frequency.
Do I require a fully automated system?
The PBI series is what is needed if you require a heating system that involves very little supervision. It comes complete with a hopper that simply needs to be refilled every week or so.
Our boilers come under three main categories: WB, WBI and PBI
WB

WB is our basic line of boiler. This means you will receive high quality components at a very affordable price. They are built primarily for garages, warehouses and industrial premises and are capable of burning a very wide range of materials including logs, waste wood, domestic rubbish, paper, coal, peat and slack.
This boiler relies upon suction from the chimney and being fully manual, supervision may be required.
WBI
WBI is the range of boiler needed when you require a heating system that is to be supplied by solid fuel. Like the WB range it is capable of burning a very wide range of materials including logs, waste wood, domestic rubbish, paper, coal, peat and slack although has the advantage of being able to burn a damper fuel e.g wood that has not yet been seasoned, waste food, grains including maize, barley and wheat. It will operate well on pellets that are inputted manually.
The WBI range has a unique air injection system which allows high speed oxygen delivery to sustain a high temperature flame. A micro chip control warrants this range semi automated, therefore requires very little supervision during its burning process. It will operate within the previously programmed parameters which can achieve as much as 18 hours burn time between refills.
PBI
PBI boilers are the most advanced units in the range from a technological point of view.
These boilers are fully automated and are directed primarily to those users who require an alternative solution to their current oil and gas heating systems.
They maintain the robust qualities and finish of the WB and WBI units and do have log burning capabilities although primarily is designed to burn pellet fuel.
PBI boilers are equipped with an automatic furnace carburizing system and are designed with a unique high powered ventilator which helps to achieve an even greater efficiency output.
This range has the possibility of emergency grate assembly which allows the possibility of burning a range of materials in the fire box, this can be applied in case of power failure.
PBI boilers possess the ‘Ecology Safe’ Certificate as well as energy and emission test approvals issued by ICHPW (Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal) in Europe.
The whole range of boiler series has met with stringent safety testing and complies with the necessary UK and European safety requirements namely PN-EN 12809 and PN-EN 303-5:2002.
They are very robust machines made from special carbon grade steel so you can be sure it will last for many years to come, in fact it comes with a 10 year anti leak warranty and a 3 year warranty on electrical components
